Mary just called to tell me that while she was out of the room, Ivan pulled his feeding tube all the way out! Then she gave him a bottle, and he drank more than half of it before falling asleep. Hopefully, the nurse will not insist on re-inserting the tube and Mary can get him eating well tonight.

Ivan's story reminds me so much of a patient I took care of a while ago. I'll tell you about her sometime, but in the mean time, it sounds like Ivan knows what he wants. This sounds good to me.Love ya all,

They did put the feeding tube back in Sunday night, but as of this morning (Tuesday), it's out for good.
