God is Good

Ivan is one month old today. He is doing well. His neck muscles are holding his head up a little bit at a time. He does the head butting thing against our shoulders as he tries to take a look around him. His eyes are focusing on more things and he follows sounds with his eyes a bit. He definitely has a strong cry and bursts forth with it when upset but it usually doesn't last long. This is one area where he and Owen are very different. When Owen was a baby he would begin his cry with about 5 seconds of a warning whine and I had a little time to fix whatever was wrong before the full force yell. Ivan surprises us with a loud yelp and cry immediately upon being uncomfortable.

Ivan seems to be developing blue eyes. I had hoped he would since Owen has brown. They look very blue in certain light but we can't be absolutely sure for a few months yet. He still has the baby acne and it's even down his back some, poor thing. His hair and skin are both very dark and he's definitely got the general look of a Troyer/Schwartz baby. I would have to say the features on his face however, look like Kris'. He will be a very unique combination just as Owen is.
