October Weekends

Long before the end of this month, next month's schedule was getting pretty packed. The weekends have been booked up for some time now, and many of the week nights are getting busy as well.

This weekend, we have a retreat for all the teachers and care group leaders at our church. If not for that retreat, I might have been flying to San Diego with a friend (who has family out there) in order to go to the Titans vs. Chargers game. I'll still get to see it on television, though.

Next weekend will be Owen's first birthday party. His birthday is actually on Wednesday, October 6th, but we'll have a party for him and 100 of his closest friends on Saturday. Ok, maybe not 100. The Titans do not play on Sunday, October 10th, because they will be playing on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers on October 11th.

The weekend after that (Oct 16) there will be some sort of baby shower at my house. I will not be hanging around. The next day, we are planning to go to Jillian's with our Sunday School class to watch the Titans vs. Texans game and probably go bowling, etc.

Weekend number 4 begins with a two-day annual meeting at work, followed by another baby shower / going away party for some friends of ours who are moving to Alabama and having a baby - possibly at the same time. Then the Titans play Minnesota on Sunday, October 24.

The final weekend in October, we have planned an outing for our Sunday School class to go to Fall Creek Falls. And of course, the Titans play Cincinnati on October 31.

TisraOkay, Kris, we get the point about the Titans. But with the way it "packs" your schedule, you'd think that you were a *player* on the team rather than a fan. :-)
