I've never been much of a baseball fan, but being in Boston while they make a historic comeback from 3 games down in the Championship Series has given me the fever for it. I watched last night's game, and I'm planning to watch game seven tonight.
I just got back from a nice little Thai restaraunt called Lemon Tree. The food was good, and the portions were huge. Sadly, I couldn't finish it all. I haven't done much sightseeing around Boston, mostly because I am not close to downtown and there's not much to see without a lot of driving in thick traffic.
Thsi is the first time since Owen was born that I have left town on business like this. Mary told me that he's been saying "Daddy" a lot since I left, and I heard him saying it while I was on the phone with her tonight. He doesn't understand the phone yet, so I can't really talk to him (although we did try the speakerphone, and he responded a little, but I don't think he understood that it was me).
Tomorrow, I have class all day and then I have to drive downtown to catch a plane. I'm not really looking forward to that. I think I will be sufficiently worn out by the time I get home around 12:30 AM Central time. I'll be very glad to see Mary and Owen again, though.
