The Eye of Kris

Tomorrow morning, I'm off to Dallas. I'm flying down for the Business Objects 2004 International User Conference at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. It should be a pretty interesting trip. The big conference party on the last night is at Texas Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, including tours of the locker rooms, etc. That should be pretty fun. The only NFL stadium I've ever been in is The Coliseum here in Nashville.

I'm also hoping to see some old friends on the trip. On Sunday, I plan to visit Hope Fellowship, which is pastored by John McKenzie, who performed our wedding 7 years ago. I'll also be seeing Chris Exley, Tim Raynaud, and several other people who re-located to the Dallas area with John when he went down there to start the church.

In other news, we've had a lot of activity around our first house lately. There were two showings today, and another in the morning, and in the last week at least 3 people have asked me about renting / leasing it. I was originally resistant to that idea, but there is a person who has asked about a lease / purchase deal, and I might be willing to work something out like that. Hopefully, one way or another, I won't be paying two mortgages for much longer.
