Walk Through the Fire - Fall 1996

1)When obeying a loving God means a walk through the furnace
And the flames hide the truth of his Word but they cannot burn us
And when the heat feels like too much to bear
I just turn and I find He is there.

Cho.
Cause He didn’t take me out of the fire, He walked through it with me
Right by my side
And He would not deny my desire; He wanted to give me
A heart purified
He burns out impurities, my insecurities; my honor depends on His might
So He didn’t take me out of the fire, He walked through it with me.

2)In green pastures He makes me lie down, by still waters he leads me
And when life’s peaceful His presence is found, I can taste what He feeds me
But when shadows of death rise like smoke, in my tears I am strengthened the most.

Cho.
Cho.

KristyThanks for not telling the stories.

TisraI'm only admitting this because I figure that you'll enjoy the laugh.

In reading this, I kept wondering what 'Cho' meant. The way I was pronouncing it in my head sounded very Chinese. I began wondering if it was some form of 'Selah' that I had never heard of, AND THEN IT DAWNED ON ME...ahhhhh, it means 'Chorus'!

Amy ButtonDont' feel bad Tisra, I thought the same thing. But I thought it was for Yonggi (sp?) Cho the South Korean pastor- like maybe he wrote it. Silly me.

Kristy said something about stories so I'm guessing something specific prompted you to write this and it rings very true.

MaryNo...I used to sing it when I traveled with Images and would always introduce the song with some funny stories about Kristy. I guess she doesn't want them repeated so I'll have to include them in a blog sometime. It's good stuff.
