My Christmas Miracle

I read this story in my Norman Rockwell Christmas book this afternoon. I thought some of you might enjoy it if you have the time to read it.

Christmas has me quite emotional this year. I don't know what it is but I am trying to make the best of it. There are good emotions too so I may as well direct my heart toward laughter and joy and just watch the fireworks eh?

The boys are very excited, Ivan has been exploring everything and has already pulled two of the ornaments off the tree. They were easily replaced but he can't be left alone downstairs. Owen has been bouncing off the walls and asking more questions than I can answer. He has been begging me to read to him all day except when he was begging to watch his cars movie which I let him do. I have read three very lengthy stories to him and he wants more. It is nap time however so he will have to wait until he wakes up. In the mean time I should be catching up on some things around here. The only thing I've done on my list is read my Bible and I had to cut off some of my prayer time due to a crying baby. The bed is not made, the laundry is piling up as we speak and the dishes are threatening to take over the kitchen. What, pray tell, will we have for dinner? I need to consult the list and select those items that can be done before the day ends.

And when all the walls and windows sparkle like the glass ornaments that haven't been ripped from the tree, maybe I can relax and watch a little Monday Night Football, and sip hot chocolate till I'm toasty warm and ready to nod off.
