Limerick Friday

There once was a girl named Rose
Sweet sonnets of love she'd compose
But when she recited
Love stayed unrequited
And she blamed the men that she chose

Ah, poor Rose. Ever the optimist in herself, she is doomed to forever be disappointed in others. She needs to change, but who will convince her of her folly?

I only know two people, no three, named Rose. None of them compose sonnets.

Kris and I are going out on a date tonight. I noticed that the church/school where Owen attends is hosting a "Parent's Night Out" so I called and reserved us an evening away. I had seen their sign before but assumed it was strictly for their church members. Silly me...why would they put it on their sign if it were just for church members? That's the logic that finally hit me this week, so I called. It's a pretty good deal and convenient for us as well. So...be happy for me. I am.

AmyCongrats! I hope you had a good time. If it makes you feel any better, I would have assumed the same thing.

MaryWe did have a good time. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of exciting night out on the town. Dinner and a movie is pretty conventional. It was peaceful and we were able to talk and we weren't super tired and I couldn't help but sigh gratefully when I picked up three happy and exhausted little boys and think...now that's ministry to the whole family. I may even write them a thank you letter.
