Limerick Friday

We've been marching along in hopes of pounding out some great times among the wiles and woes of the world. Existence is not all we are offered and I'm making good on my share in the joy bin.

I could get pretty discouraged if I listened too long to the tales of government babysitting and illogical fear of my role in the doom of earth. I am still using disposable diapers after all. Thank goodness Ivan is finally in underwear. I'm not sure who all will be helped by his graduation to Cars underwear but I'm confident that the impact will surely be felt somewhere...somehow. I know I feel it. So I am down to one last diaper clad earth destroyer. They used to be curtain climbers and rug-rats...now they are literally destroying the planet one defecation at a time. Selfish ingrates.

So what does that have to do with Limerick Friday? Nothing of course...Limerick Friday is inspired by something much more innocent this week. My sthweet friend Madithon. Madithon got brathes thith week. Not only brathes, but a troublethome thumb-guard that keepth her tongue from the far reacheth of the roof of her mouth. Thith of courth keepth her from pronounthing thingth correctly. Thoon thingth will adjutht, but for now...we are laughing at her. We enjoyed her prethenthe latht night at the thewing party and due to her motherth ruthleth mockery I am compelled to write ath thuch...

Lovely young Madison Hunter
Has a mother that couldn't be blunter
Though she's mocked something sore
She is loved something more
And she laughs at the words that affront her

Hahaha! Of course I was there to watch all the mocking first hand- poor Madison. I should add (although I left it out of my blog) what a great help she was to me last night. I really wouldn't have gotten that apron finished if she hadn't helped me. I should probably mention that she's 9. :)

Yay Maddie!!!! How sweet.

I love that local celebrities get put in your limericks (tho' I don't know if I'd ever appreciate being in one... you'd have to be *nice*).

Tisra - your name is difficult to rhyme. I've considered it. :) I would certainly be nice...though that's not nearly as funny.

Bless her cotton socks! I wish I could type it with my friend Shonagh's Scottish accent. You'll just have to use your imagination.

The bits and pieces of my days all stitched together, in hopes of creating something useful from moments that may have otherwise been thrown away. I'm a girl who blushes when you call her a woman, a wife who adores the man God picked just for her, a mom who can't believe God has given her this honor, a friend who strives to return the enjoyment she gets from those around her and a darn good dreamer.
