Limerick Friday
Long time no Limerick!
I decided that I'm not under "limerick law" and needed to exercise my rights to grace and freedom to NOT write a limerick EVERY Friday.
However, I am without excuse to write today and I think Edith and Fran need to be recognized today:
Two ladies named Edith and Fran
Just as sweet as a cake in a pan
both need eggs from the store
There's just one dozen more
So they each leave with six in their hands
Owen comes home today and I'm very excited about that. The boys are too. Ivan asked first thing this morning, "Where's Owen?" knowing he should be back today.
My friend was unable to come over yesterday but will be coming by today. So, my day is pretty full with a little cleaning, a little baking again, a little visiting and most importantly picking up my boy.
I can't wait to see his tired little face.

I'm so excited for you that he's coming back today. It's difficult when they're that young to have them away...and to not be able to call. So, um, the summer is nearly over and we've hardly gotten together. You guys should come over sometime before school starts. I have a wading pool and a slip-n-slide. Oh, and a little wheelbarrow that the girls love to fill with water. It's not high-tech but the kids like it.
Who needs high-tech. when there is water involved? :) We were down there more recently than you were here...can I reverse the invitation and have you guys up for some pool time? Say next Friday maybe? Well, I think you guys are watching Halle for us...that's what Travis told me anyway. I think that looking like I just got out of the pool for a date...would be fine with Travis but I'd like to be a bit more, um, showered. We'd love to come and hang out. We're going to pick up Chloe from B'ham that weekend so what about that next week? Amy - Pack your stuff and shower here. We have showers...lots of showers. Totally understand if you don't want to do that, but my how convenient it would be! If Travis got home early enough Kris could pick him up on his way home from Franklin and you'd only have one car here. I'm full of answers!!!
The next Friday we will be driving to Michigan. If you don't come here (with stuff for showering) this week, we'll probably have to continue this banter over the phone to work out a day. :)
Love it :) Yeah, I'm a dork. You're the one with 3 1/2 bathrooms, I'm the one with one bathroom. Silly me :) That sounds wonderful. I'd feel a little guilty because I know how much Chloe would want to do that *but* she's swimming every day in Florida so I'm sure she'll get over it. I might not tell her. Michigan again, huh? Before school starts back I guess...
Unfortunately, we are leaving for MI after school starts. My 20 year high school reunion is the weekend of the 7th and no one who planned it would have guessed that it would conflict with anyone's school. I am going and Owen will have to miss school for a few days. We'll leave Friday around noon so he can be at school that morning and then we'll drive back Wednesday so it won't be a full week but it will be a bummer that he misses right at the beginning like that.
