Limerick Friday

I have a dear aunt named Devona

Who is true to her lovely persona

It's her birthday today

And I feel I must say

Years just add to her glowing corona

As I've mentioned before, my sister has started a blog from my mother's diaries. The entry for today is from when my aunt, her youngest sister, was born. It's not terribly sentimental, but it's still sweet. A 16 (almost 17) year old girl with boys on her mind and already the oldest of six won't typically spend a lot of time waxing on about a new baby in the house. She did have a deep care for her baby sister though and between her and my aunt Esther I'm sure that dear "Ony" as we call her, was zealously nurtured by three very capable "mothers."
