My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery].
Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them." Psalm 139:13-16 (Amplified)
To my limited knowledge this version of the Bible is the only one that says it this way. The rest of them tell me I am fearfully and wonderfully made. This one says He is fearful and wonderful. The focus leaves me and chooses Him.
I will never discount the other translations, but I will say this is my favorite.
I want to be admired, I enjoy it way too much, but more and more, I want to point the admiration on Him. Fearful and Wonderful made me, formed, knit, intricately and curiously wrought me.
As if embroidered with various colors. I am His work of art. His signature is on me and I am 1 of 1. The first in a series of only me.
Fearful and Wonderful saw my unformed substance and wrote down the days of my life before I lived out my story.
Fearful and Wonderful is He.
The God who saw my every move before I thought about any of them and still prescribed me to His kingdom as useful, healing, worthy and precious.
I don't really care what anyone else may think that I am...Fearful and Wonderful signed this work and I am His.Copyright 2008 KelsoFamily.net
